Pre-Production Questionnaire

Overall from the questionnaires given, most were completed by a male audiences all of which were in the age bracket of 15-17 being students.  The most popular place for viewing films proved to be streaming, Netflix being the top site. There was varied answers for the favourite genre, showing many including, romantic comedies, horror, comedy, sci-fi and the favourite being the thriller genre. The amount of films viewed per week came out with most watching 3-4, many watching less than that also. After reading the synopsis for our first 2 minutes of the film, most answers thought the genre was Thriller or psychological thriller, which is the genre of the film so this response was positive as we knew our film had a clear genre of psychological thriller. All questionnaires came back with the thought age certificate to be 15, which is also what we gave the film, ensuring us that we were on the right path before making the film, All of them also said they understood the first 3 minutes of the film. The sound suggestions were very helpful to us, giving ideas of what diegetic and non-diegetic sounds/music would be appropriate for the film such as; haunting, creepy music or tense and suspenseful music, fast paced when action is rising. Finally most questionnaires said they would watch the film however one did say no which seemed surprising, however this was due to him not being a fan of the thriller genre, but still saying our film seemed to be interesting and others would enjoy it.
